The Golden State Warriors are a great side because despite the presence of multiple stars within the team, there has never been a power struggle among them. Dubs All-Star forward Draymond Green, who himself is one of the most vocal among the team, confirms that Stephen Curry is the unbridled leader on their squad.

Green had this to say to WNBA star Candace Parker on a recent Instagram Live interview about the type of leader Curry is:

“The leader of our team is Steph,” Green said, via Alex Didion of NBC Sports. “He is extremely selfless, it’s never about ‘what can I do for Steph?’ Or how Steph feels or ‘Can I get this shot?' Obviously yes, he’s gonna shoot the ball. But his worry is always everyone else, and it’s never ‘me, me me.’

“When your leader is like that, everyone else, you have to fall in line. Not only did it shape our team, but it shaped the entire organization.”

That is some high praise coming from Green, who is also considered as one of the most prominent members of the Dubs. For him to concede that Curry is their ultimate talisman speaks volumes of the type of chemistry this team has.

Curry himself also recently discussed the leadership style of Green, and how it differs from his. It is clear that Curry is also able to fully appreciate what Green brings to the table.

In the end, though, Green is certain that in his mind, Curry is one of the best leaders he's ever had in his life.

“I think he's one of the best examples I've had, but also one of the best examples for all of us,” Green added. “He lives by a certain standard and that's a great thing to get people to follow you.”

The Warriors have had a terrible season this term, but one thing is clear: the team's chemistry is still on point. We just can't wait to see a full-strength Dubs side next season.
