After serving his one-game suspension, Draymond Green's return to the Golden State Warriors' lineup didn't do much to help the defending champions on the road against the Houston Rockets. The Warriors lost Thursday night's marquee matchup, 107-86.

After the game, Green caught up with reporters while in a surprisingly good mood despite the beatdown at the hands of their conference rivals. In fact, Green even had it in himself to poke fun at his recent suspension borne out of the confrontation with Kevin Durant.

Technically, Draymond Green was right. The former Defensive Player of the Year had been nursing a sprained toe.

To recall, Green was suspended by the Warriors and got slapped a $120,000 fine for his conducts in the verbal exchange with Durant. Thursday night, though, the two All-Stars appear to have ironed things out between them. And why not? The Warriors are so close to history being the favorites this season, setting them up for a three-peat. Squabbles like this one are easily cured by wins and the Warriors have a lot more winning to do in the coming months.

However, Draymond Green was a non-factor against the Rockets after failing to score a single basket. He did grab five rebounds and handed out five assists while being under a minutes restriction.

Interestingly, both teams were dealing with their own drama entering Thursday night. While Golden State had the Durant-Green issue, Houston was dealing with the aftermath of their decision to part ways with Carmelo Anthony. Based on the Rockets' play, a big burden was lifted off their shoulders.
