Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green hasn't played real minutes in a game since Jan. 5 because of a nagging back injury. There have been a few updates on his injury along the way, but nothing all that concrete.

Well, Green provided a bit more clarity on his return timetable during Sunday's All-Star Game. During one of his sideline reports, the Warriors star said he's hoping to be back in 3-4 weeks:

That's still a ways away, but it would at least give Green some time to ramp back up before the playoffs begin. The playoffs are set to start on April 16.

Green has officially missed the last 20 games, though it's basically 21 games because he purposefully only played a few seconds on Jan. 9 in Klay Thompson's return game against the Cleveland Cavaliers before leaving. The Warriors went 14-7 in those 21 games leading up to the break, going through a bit of a roller-coaster ride during Green's absence.

Golden State struggled at first without Green, only to then go on a nine-game winning streak. However, the Dubs went into the break losers of four of five, with their defense showing some cracks in the armor.

Green is still the anchor of Golden State's elite defense and is a key offensive engine thanks to his playmaking. The Warriors star is averaging 7.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game on the season.

Even despite the recent slump, Golden State is still 42-17 in 2021-22, which is good for second in the Western Conference behind the Phoenix Suns. The Warriors will just have to remain patient as Green recovers. The most important thing is that he's ready for the postseason and a championship run.
