Teaming up with Kevin Durant and playing against him does not hold much of a difference according to Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green.  Per Mark Medina of USA Today, Green opened up about his main takeaway about being on both sides of the spectrum with Durant.

“Just how no one in the world can stop him. And even after playing tonight, I still don’t think anyone in the world can stop him,” he said.

Kevin Durant made his first trip back in Oakland on Saturday since joining the Brooklyn Nets in free agency in 2019. The one-time league MVP torched his former team for the second time this season, leading the Nets to an easy 134-117 victory. KD finished with a modest 20 points on 8-for-19 shooting from the field, along with five rebounds, six assists, and two blocks in 33 minutes.

He did not have to do much heavy lifting, as the Nets outplayed the Dubs from the opening tip until the final horn. Draymond Green defended his former teammate on several possessions and wasn't shy to admit afterwards that it's nearly impossible to contain the gifted scorer.

Durant exited the Golden State Warriors franchise after suffering a devastating Achilles injury in the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. He missed the entire campaign last season but is looking like his old self (and perhaps even better) in the 2020-21 season. Green and Durant do have a bit of complicated relationship even when they shared the same jersey. After all, Green was caught shouting expletives to KD during a heated confrontation  in their final year together as teammates.

It seems that both parties have already moved on from that incident, and Green has nothing but praises for his former ally.
