Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green returned to practice on Monday after a bout with an undisclosed illness, possibly COVID-19.

The Warriors previously announced that two players had tested positive for the coronavirus, but did not reveal their identities. However, Green and the team's 2020 first-round pick, center James Wiseman, had been notably absent from Dubs' training camp before Monday.

Both Green and Wiseman went through practice with no issues, besides conditioning of course.

Green and Wiseman are not expected to play in the Warriors' final preseason games—two matchups with the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday and Thursday—in accordance with league protocols. It's unclear if they will be ready to go for the start of the regular season on Dec. 22.

“My game feels pretty good. Gotta tighten it back up,” Draymond Green said, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Green has been ramping up his conditioning after what he acknowledged was a tough last 10 days.

For what it's worth, after practice on Monday, Green said he felt “pretty good, all things considered.”

Surely, the 2016-17 Defensive Player of the Year will want to be active at the start of the season to “welcome” his former teammate, Kevin Durant, back to regular season NBA basketball.

Green is entering his ninth season with the Warriors. He played admirably hard with a depleted Dubs squad in 2019-20, but he struggled mightily with his shooting. He averaged 8.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 1.4 steal per game in 43 appearances last season (28.4 minutes per game), but his field goal percentage (38.9) and 3-point percentage (27.9) were the lowest marks since his rookie year.

Without Klay Thompson (Achilles) for another season, the Warriors will rely on Draymond Green and Stephen Curry to gel with their revamped supporting cast, including Wiseman, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Andrew Wiggins.
