Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was never a fan of the media having access to the team's locker rooms. He shed light on the topic after being asked about the chemistry between Los Angeles Lakers duo LeBron James and Anthony Davis and how teams work through internal issues, during the NBA TV's pregame show before Game 2 of the 2020 NBA Finals:

“Well, I think there are always things that are going to happen in the locker room that shouldn't get out,” he said. “One thing I've always had a problem with is when media is in the locker room. I feel like the locker room is a sacred place for a team and it's a place only the teammates should be in because that's where you settle your differences, that's where everybody can put everything on the table.”

Draymond Green, a three-time NBA champion, spoke from experience as his own Warriors team was also known to have its fair share of internal issues in recent seasons. Green and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr reportedly figured in a heated exchange during the Feb. 27, 2016 game in Oklahoma City when the forward was heard yelling at his coach at halftime.

Back on Nov. 12, 2018, Green and former teammate Kevin Durant were also seen having arguments in the sidelines after an overtime loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. Despite the players' differences, the former Michigan State Spartan was able to stay the course and act as a key figure on a Warriors side that won three championships in the previous six seasons.

Heading into the 2021 NBA season, Draymond Green will continue to steer the team back to contention and prove to the rest of the league that the Warriors are still a squad to be feared for.
