Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has got his eyes locked on winning and achieving his personal goals this season.

Topping everybody else in the league thus far, the Warriors look primed for another championship run. Klay Thompson is yet to make his return but the current Dubs squad is already getting the job done with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green spearheading the team.

While Steph Curry has been consistent in form, Green, on the other hand, has admitted that he has “been s—–y the last couple years.” However, the three-time NBA All-Star is working on changing that narrative this season and he lets his goals fuel him in the process.

“Most importantly, I want to win,” Green said via NBC Sports. “I want to be Defensive Player of the Year again and I want to be an All-Star again. That is motivating me. A lot of people have counted me out — the same mistake people made before (2012), when I first came into the league. But a lot of people doubted me, and doubted me again, and that’s fuel to the fire.”

Green has been a key figure in the Warriors' remarkable run start this season, especially on the defensive end.  It didn't take long for Golden State head coach Steve Kerr to notice that Green has been putting in extra work “every single night” and he is very pleased with what he is seeing from the veteran forward.

“Draymond Green is the best defender in the world,” Kerr raved. “I think he’s had just an unbelievable start to the season. He’s so motivated. He’s so engaged every single night.”
