Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green is still an active NBA player, but that didn't stop him from signing a unique deal with Turner Sports.

Turner Sports announced Thursday that Green has inked a multiyear deal with the company. Here's a description of what Green will be doing:

The unique arrangement will include Green making appearances on TNT’s Inside the NBA, among additional content initiatives throughout the Turner Sports and Bleacher Report portfolio, as an active player.

As his schedule aligns, Green will join the Sports Emmy Award winning studio team of Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith as an analyst, making select appearances – a combination of remote contributions and, at times, in person – throughout the season. Green will also contribute to various other programs, special projects and content initiatives.

The Warriors star began to make appearances on TNT's Inside the NBA in 2020, thanks in part to banter between Green and Charles Barkley. Green will make his official debut as a member of Turner Sports on Thursday night after his Warriors face the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Dubs big man is currently sidelined with an injury.

Green released this statement on his new deal:

“I've had an amazing experience working with Turner Sports in recent years and I’m a big believer in the way they entertain and genuinely connect with fans on all levels,” said Green. “Today’s announcement helps to formalize our relationship and I couldn’t be prouder to officially be a part of the of the TNT family.”

It will be interesting to see Green consistently bring his insights to these platforms while still being active. The Warriors stud has always been outspoken, and he has a brilliant basketball mind that will continue to lend itself well to television.
