Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green admitted how frustrating it was to lose a crucial jump ball late in the game against the Charlotte Hornets. It was a close game that went down to the wire and it was up to the three-time NBA champ to gain the possession back for the Warriors with just 20 seconds left with Charlotte up by just two.

Green claimed that he got surprised with the timing of official David Guthrie in which he threw the ball up for the jump ball which was ultimately won by Rozier. That being said, Green didn't want to cause any more controversy and simply admitted that he has no one else to blame but himself.

“I've got to get that jump ball, regardless of what the situation is,” Green said while explaining that Guthrie caught him off guard since he was still actually talking before throwing the ball up (via Rusty Simmons of The San Francisco Chronicle). “It's not his fault. That's on me,”

Green filled up the stat sheet against the Hornets and even came up with a huge game-tying bucket with under a minute left in the game. Unfortunately, he did drop the ball a few plays after on this crucial play which ended up quite costly for the Warriors (via Bally Sports: Hornets):

Green did seem a bit off-timing when he jumped against Rozier. The Warriors forward is a good four inches taller than the Hornets guard and everyone, including the Hornets announcers on the call, were all clearly surprised that Rozier ended up winning the tap.

Rozier would end up knocking down two huge free throws on the same play to seal the Hornets' 106-102 win, snapping the Warriors' seven-game winning streak.
