If you ask Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, he still has a long way to go on his NBA journey before he finally calls it a career.

Speaking to Mark Medina of USA TODAY SPORTS, the 30-year-old former All-Star forward revealed exactly how many more years he intends to play before retirement:

“I think I still have another six or seven years left before I’m ready to hang them up,” said Green. “But you can never start working on different avenues too soon. Just being a current player, this opportunity was something that was exciting and unique to me.”

In case you were wondering, Green was referencing his new NBA on TNT show “The Arena” here when speaking about “different avenues.” The show debuted on Monday and will run every week night, as it features Green and Charles Barkley, along with Dwyane Wade and Cari Champion as the host.

It is clear, however, that Green still has basketball as his top priority at this point. He may already be thinking ahead about a potential TV career once he hangs up his sneakers, but that still remains to be a distant thought right now.

Green had a rather tumultuous 2019-20 season with the Dubs. The lack of superstar power around him had a significantly adverse effect on Green's game, and he was unable to keep his team afloat. Thankfully for him and the Warriors, that's all in the past now, with the Dubs now looking to bounce back in a huge way next season.
