The Golden State Warriors lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night. A lot of things went wrong for the Warriors down the stretch in their 102-100 defeat, which ended in a game-winning, buzzer-beater from Hornets guard Terry Rozier. One of them included Draymond Green absolutely losing his temper, which resulted in back-to-back technical fouls. This rewarded two freethrows for Charlotte. The freebies that preceded Rozier's dagger ultimately led to arguably Golden State's most disappointing loss of the season.

Green, who waited in the locker room watching the final 9.3 seconds unfold, reportedly took the blame for his “terrible” late-game behavior, via Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

It's great that Draymond Green took accountability for his actions and all. But that's just simply inexcusable on his part to lose it like he did, especially with the game still hanging in the balance.

In case you missed it, the Dubs and Draymond Green took control in the fourth quarter and led by as much as 10 points with 4:44 remaining in the game. Golden State had all the opportunities to close out Charlotte on the road.

After Andrew Wiggins missed a potential dagger with 20 seconds left, the Warriors retrieved the extra possession. These should have turned into a free-throw shooting contest, but the Hornets managed to tie-up Warriors guard Brad Wanamaker, forcing a jump ball.

After the jump, both teams scrambled for the ball, with Gordon Hayward gaining possession for a split second before Draymond Green came in to force another jump. However, the Hornets managed to call timeout, which the referees gave to them.

Draymond Green didn't like the call and proceeded to make a profanity-laced tirade that led to his ejection.

Rozier, who nailed two 3-pointers in the last minute and a half, calmly sank the two technical free throws before breaking Golden State's heart with the left-wing dagger.

What could have been the best game for the Warriors, who were playing without superstar guard Stephen Curry, quickly turned into their worst loss of the season. Draymond Green was to blame.
