Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is going to be flashing some new metal in his mouth when his team takes on the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night at Oracle Arena.

Green was elbowed near the end of the second quarter in Tuesday's loss to the Oklahoma StateThunder by Jerami Grant. He was left with a bloodied mouth, and when he tried to argue his case with referee Lauren Holtkamp he was also hit with a technical.

Green has been very direct about expressing his disapproval of how referees do their jobs, and it looks like he has a real case with this one.

According to the Mark Medina of theMercury News, Draymond Green spent Wednesday getting some dental work done to try to straighten back out his teeth. When asked about the new smile on Thursday he said:

“My tooth got knocked back. My big tooth; my front tooth, “It is what it is.”

Good thing for the Warriors the injury isn't serious and he will be able to play through it. Green is a huge part of the Warriors' success, especially on the defensive end of the floor. So far this season he is averaging 11.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game.

He also picked up his 12th and 13th technicals of the season against the Thunder. He needs to try and be more careful with picking up techs, as he will be suspended once he gets his 16th of the season.

Every two technicals after 16 will also result in a game suspension, and with the Warriors needing him in the court as much as possible, he needs to try to limit his technicals, and not knock any more teeth loose.
