Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green would like to play in the Olympics next year and thinks other stars will join him.

The Olympics take place in Tokyo next summer.

Multiple star players withdrew from the FIBA World Cup this offseason. Team USA lost to France and Serbia and the best they can finish is in seventh place.

We'll see if superstars such as LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Stephen Curry and Kawhi Leonard — among others — will play in the 2020 Olympics. It's good to know Draymond Green is already ready to commit, though.

The Warriors re-signed Green to a $100 million extension this summer. Golden State lost Durant to the Brooklyn Nets in free agency and will be without Klay Thompson for a big chunk of the season due to his ACL tear. The Warriors were able to acquire All-Star point guard D'Angelo Russell from the Nets in the sign-and-trade deal involving Durant.

Green has career averages of 9.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 533 games with the Warriors. He's a three-time All-Star and three-time NBA champion.

Team USA will be a much better team when the superstars come back, but adding versatile players like Green is important too.
