After starting as a small-ball center for the Golden State Warriors against the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday, Draymond Green made sure to remind all NBA big men and everyone else what he is truly made of.

With the Warriors missing the services of some of their big men, including rookie center James Wiseman, Green had to man the frontcourt once again. However, at 6-foot-6 and 230 pounds, he is undersized for the position. Considering that, many expected Jonas Valanciunas to take advantage of the mismatch and dominate.

Green is well aware of those talks, since he is no longer new to such tactics. After all, he admitted other teams have tried putting bigger centers on him hoping to exploit the glaring weakness in the middle.

Nevertheless, as the Warriors forward said it, each and every one of them has failed. He then put out a rather NSFW remark, highlighting that he never backs down–no matter the size of the opponent.

Now that’s Draymond Green for you. He is one of the toughest competitors in the  league, and one can say he is a pesky defender. What he lacks in size he makes up for strategy and basketball IQ, which is why he has been an effective piece for the Warriors who likes mobility around Stephen Curry.

It also serves as a warning for the rest of the NBA. While the Warriors don’t have a true center ready to swat shots coming, Green is  more than enough to anchor the defense and make enemies worry about attacking the rim.

This message also couldn’t come at a better time. With the Dubs heading to the play-in tournament, they will need Dray to be a son-point as possible as their center. They could potentially play the  Los Angeles Lakers, who have one of the best big man in the league in Anthony Davis.
