Last Friday's 131-130 overtime loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves had serious consequences for the Golden State Warriors. Beyond losing ground to the Denver Nuggets in the standings, three Warriors All-Stars were slapped with fines for their comments after the game. Golden State superstars Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green were all very vocal after the loss. They had issues with the game's officiating, especially late in the contest. Durant and Curry voiced their complaints to reporters after the game, while Green took to Twitter.

On Tuesday, the league issued fines to all three for their public comments. Interestingly, Green received the largest fine for the nature of his complaints. Via Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area:

Head coach Steve Kerr, who also expressed his disagreement with the officiating, managed to avoid a fine. But Green took the hardest hit for his cryptic Tweets, in which he compared one of last Monday's referees to an infamous former official. He tweeted “MK” and “TD,” likely referring to current official Marat Kogut and former ref Tim Donaghy, who has been accused of betting on games.

The NBA responded to the complaints last Tuesday. The league claimed that the questionable fouls late in the game were, in fact, correct.

At 52-24, the Warriors are only a game ahead of the Nuggets for the top spot in the Western Conference. An inconsistent season likely played a role in Golden State's frustration with last Monday's officiating. However, the team still remains one of the league's best and will be a huge threat in the postseason.
