The Golden State Warriors may have had plenty of years of suffering under Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, but they were equally as devastated to learn of his untimely death. Now, they are planning to celebrate his life and career.

According to Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area, the Warriors are planning to commemorate Kobe, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and the seven other who lost their lives on Saturday before their game against the Lakers.

Bryant spent his entire career with the Lakers, meaning that the Dubs got to face off against the Black Mamba at least four times a year. They saw Kobe grow from an electrifying teenager to one of the best scorers the league has ever seen. His unrelenting mentality definitely inspired more than a couple of souls in the Golden State locker room.

Draymond Green, who shared Kobe's competitive fire, previously thanked him for what he did to the game.

“Kobe, I thank you for being the person that you were, the big brother that you were. Not only to myself but to many others. You left a legacy that’ll NEVER be forgotten. We lost one of the good guys,” Draymond said, per NBC Sports' Drew Schiller.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, meanwhile, did a no-brainer comparison between Kobe and Michael Jordan.

“Michael Jordan brought it every single night, and that’s what Kobe did,” said Kerr, a former Chicago Bulls teammate of Jordan, to NBC Sports. “He brought it every single night and never took a game off. And did things that were superhuman. Even at the NBA level, in a league full of these incredible athletes, he stood out.”

As the Chase Center will be bathed in purple and gold, Warriors nation will remember all of the times Kobe Bryant showcased brilliance. And they will be thankful for the countless memories he gave them and the rest of the basketball world.
