The Golden State Warriors have experienced a lot of turnover to their roster this offseason. Fortunately, it seems the arrival of shooting guard Jordan Poole will give them an extra stopper to use against some of the firepower in the Western Conference.

Poole's skill set as a potential 3-and-D makes him an ideal fit in Golden State. He admitted that he is looking forward to the prospect of guarding Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker and Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard CJ McCollum, via Chris Montano of Dime:

“Probably Devin Booker. Devin Booker, CJ McCollum are the two that I'm definitely focusing on,” Poole said.

Poole's excitement is certainly understandable considering both players are two of the most electrifying scorers in the NBA today. It is for that reason he may want to be careful with what he wishes for.

Both players are coming off career years with their respective teams. Despite the Suns' struggles in recent years, Booker has served as a lone bright spot with his explosive scoring ability. Although he has become a one-man show in Phoenix, he is still more than capable of tallying a new career-high mark on any given night.

Meanwhile, CJ McCollum has long been the Blazers' go-to option alongside point guard Damian Lillard in Portland. He was able to solidify his status as an elite scorer with his heroics this postseason. If Jordan Poole can ultimately prove to be an asset on defense against players of this caliber, there is a good chance he can carve out an immediate role in Golden State.
