The Golden State Warriors will hold out rookie Eric Paschall for Friday's game against the Utah Jazz due to a hip injury, though head coach Steve Kerr says he’s not concerned for the long-term effects of this injury, according to Logan Murdock of NBC Sports Bay Area.

Paschall is coming off the two worst games of his young career, back-to-back five-point games in which he looked completely out of rhythm. The rookie had started for most of November and December due to a slew of injuries that plagued the Warriors, but upon Kevon Looney's return to the court, he's seen limited minutes in his past two appearances.

Pachall went from averaging 33 minutes per game as a starter to playing 21 and 17 minutes against the Memphis Grizzlies and the New York Knicks, respectively. He's been slowed by this injury for the past couple of games, suffering from left hip soreness, a different injury than the right hip contusion that forced him to miss a game in November.

Frontcourt partner Draymond Green will also miss the game against the Jazz, staying back home to rest, while Paschall will still make the trip.

The Warriors are clearly playing it safe with Greent, hoping the lone healthy piece of their core stays that way and survives a long 2019-20 season.
