Gary Payton II has been making waves for the Golden State Warriors for a couple of his jaw-dropping dunks this season. As it turns out, however, the 28-year-old believes that he is by no means the best dunker on the Dubs.

According to Payton, his vote would have to go to Warriors rookie Jonathan Kuminga:

“Absolutely not,” Payton II said on the latest episode of Dubs Talk (h/t Grant Liffman of NBC Sports).

“It's probably Wiggs, [Jordan Poole]. Or Jonathan [Kuminga] actually, I take that back. I give it to Jonathan.”

Kuminga hasn't had the chance to really shine for the Warriors just yet, although we have seen some flashes of brilliance here and there from the highly-touted rookie. As it appears, however, Golden State's seventh overall pick from the 2021 NBA Draft still has so much to offer — especially when it comes to above-the-rim antics.

For his part, however, Payton isn't bad himself. Nevertheless, the 6-foot-3 wing has chosen to remain modest:

“I'm strictly in-game, I don't have too many tricks. Get the steal or whatever it may be, and get the two points,” Payton said. “But behind the scenes, Jonathan's got a few things, Jordan's got a few things, Juan [Toscano-Anderson] has got some things.”

Sounds like the Warriors have more than a few high-flyers on their roster. I hope we get to see some footage of these guys throwing it down during practice. That would definitely be a sight to behold.
