The Golden State Warriors have released their own statement regarding the sexual allegations involving their former assistant and now Sacramento Kings coach Luke Walton.

Per Tania Ganguli of  Los Angeles Times, Golden State only became aware of the alleged incident when it was reported Monday evening. The team refused to comment on the accusation, though they cited they are gathering more information.

The Kings have also given their statement regarding the matter, and just like the Warriors, are still gathering necessary information before issuing a more thorough statement. This is a sensitive subject, and both teams would prefer not to say anything while details about the allegation are still scarce.

Reporter Kelli Tennant officially filed a lawsuit on Monday, accusing Luke Walton of sexual harassment. In the said suit, there was no date given but it is believed that the alleged incident happened in 2016, when Luke was still with the Warriors.

Per the TMZ report:

In the suit, Tennant says when she arrived at Walton's hotel, he convinced her to come up to his room so they could “catch up.” She claims when they got up to his room, Walton suddenly pinned her to the bed, placing his hips and legs over her body.

In the docs, Tennant claims Walton then began forcing kisses on her neck, face and chest. She claims she screamed for him to stop and tried to free herself, but he held her down, groped her breasts and groin, and rubbed his erection on her leg.

She says he eventually relented and let her get up from the bed, but as she was walking towards the door to leave he grabbed her from behind and again forced his body up against hers.

Walton has yet to release a statement regarding the matter.
