The Golden State Warriors are breaking ground once more, as the team has managed to field four All-Stars for the second consecutive season, making them the first team to ever accomplish such feat, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes.
The dynamic duo of Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant led the way, as the two leading vote-getters of the Western Conference while Klay Thompson and Draymond Green were selected today, as an early leak indicated.
It remains to be seen if all four players will play together, as they did at one point last season with Steve Kerr at the helm of the West All-Stars.
Given the rule that no coach could be in charge of the honor for two straight seasons and the new changes made to the All-Star format, now made into a blacktop-like pick'em game — it's much more unlikely the four players will be on the same side of the court.
The Warriors have steadily climbed to the top of the standing, still owners of the best record in the league for the fourth straight season, doing so with a 37-10 mark, more than halfway into this 2017-18 campaign.
Curry (27.4 points per game) and Durant (26.2 points per game) both rank in the top six in scoring, making them the most formidable one-two punch in the NBA and one of the most lethal combinations on the open floor.
Thompson and Green have put together a superb season at both ends of the floor, meriting the votes to make a fourth and third respective selection to the mid-February classic.
