It still feels weird to say, but the Golden State Warriors are terrible this year. Departures and injuries to key players have reduced this once-proud championship franchise into a shell of its once-dominant self. These same injuries linger as the Dubs prepare to face the Utah Jazz.

Eric Walden shared a report of the Warriors' injury list, and it's not looking pretty.

A minimum of nine players must be available to play for the Dubs if they want to play through this game. Based on the number of injuries the team has sustained, it's unlikely that they'll be able to field a bare-bones squad. They may be able to play against the Jazz if they pluck a player from their G-League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors. However, that move will also require a lot of contractual gymnastics.

While this has been a disappointing season for Golden State, there's nothing they can do. There are plenty of strong opponents in the Western Conference right now, and it's very unlikely that they'll be able to establish themselves in the playoff race with most of their core sidelined.

However, it's not like long-time Warriors fans aren't familiar with this predicament. The Dubs have struggled ever since Run TMC was blown up. It's only recently that the Warriors have been anything other than a sideshow among the Californian teams.

However, it's these same Dubs the ‘We Believe' team came from. With only a smattering of role and fringe players, the Warriors managed to take down the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks and its German, Dirk Nowitzki.

Maybe adopting that mentality will help the Warriors bounce back. And if they feel too tense, maybe Snoop Dogg can help.
