The Golden State Warriors are expected to hammer out a two-way deal with undrafted free agent Ky Bowman, according to Connor Letourneau of The San Francisco Chronicle.

Bowman averaged 19 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game as a junior in Boston College. Originally projected to go in the early- to mid-second round in June’s NBA Draft, the 6-foot-2 point guard went undrafted, soon linking up with the Warriors to play in Summer League.

During Monday night’s 81-77 loss to the Sacramento Kings to start off the California Classic, Bowman had six points, a rebound and one assist in 16 minutes of playing time.

At 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, Bowman is clearly not shy of finding his way to a bucket, also considered an above-average defender for someone his size.

The newest addition to the roster has now taken one of the two available spots for a two-way contract. Shooting guard Damion Lee and power forward Marcus Derrickson took those places last season, and it remains unclear if they will be moved to the 15-man roster with a new agreement or kept there — though changes will be made, nevertheless.

It's unclear if Lee will return next season, while Derrickson is unlikely to.

Warriors president Bob Myers noted their second-round selection, 18-year-old Alen Smailagic, could need more time developing within the G League ranks — likely poising him to take the remaining spot.
