The Golden State Warriors are apparently focusing on seven or eight guys for the 2020 NBA Draft.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr says general manager Bob Myers and his staff gave him a list of seven or eight guys to watch film on that the Dubs are zeroing in on at the top of the 2020 NBA Draft.

For the first time in the Kerr era, the Warriors are going to miss the playoffs and will have a lottery pick:

The Warriors can do a few things with their pick. They can take the most talented player available, a ready-now guy who can play in a postseason series, or trade the pick in a package deal for a star.

Whenever next season starts, the Warriors’ core will be Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins. That’s three champions, All-Stars and leaders in Curry, Thompson and Green, and a former No. 1 overall pick and athletic specimen in Wiggins, who has a lot of talent and could flourish now that he’s not going to be asked to do everything on offense.

If the Warriors end up with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, odds are they will take either Memphis’ James Wiseman or Georgia's Anthony Edwards. Those are the two best players in the 2020 Draft class.

However, Kerr and the Warriors are surely watching film on LaMelo Ball, Cole Anthony, Deni Avdija, Obi Toppin, Onyeka Okongwu and Isaac Okoro as well.
