There was some early-season tension between Draymond Green and Kevin Durant that put the Golden State Warriors into an unfamiliar place. Golden State was scuffling early with internal strife unlike anything this current dynasty had seen. But ESPN's Nick Friedell is reporting that the team does not believe that Durant and Green's earlier altercation will affect Durant's free-agency decision this summer. Friedell writes:

Nothing is promised in the next few months, but what Warriors officials seem sure of is that a single incident of tempers flaring between two friends at the end of a heated game in November isn't going to determine whatever Durant decides to do in the future. There is an inner confidence within the group that has been strengthened because they didn't break apart.

At the time, it was easy to believe that this would be the final season with this current Warriors core. Green and Durant were feuding, the team was scuffling, and Durant's free agency was the talk of the town.

But a lot can (and probably will) change by the time July 1 rolls around. The Warriors could be celebrating their third straight championship. On the other hand, a stunning upset in the playoffs could mean the end of Durant's time as a Warrior.

We have no idea what to expect this summer, and neither does Golden State. That being said, they aren't going to worry about the friction between Durant and Green from earlier this season.
