The Golden State Warriors have looked like the best team in the NBA for much of this season, and they haven't even been playing at full strength. Having just gotten a major boost in the form of Klay Thompson, who returned to the floor after being sidelined for more than two years, the Warriors were hoping for good news regarding second-year center James Wiseman.

Unfortunately, the Warriors' latest Wiseman update wasn't much of an update at all. Per Connor Letourneau, the Warriors still have yet to receive a timetable for the young big man to be cleared for contact work.

Obviously, the fact that Wiseman has yet to be cleared for contact is a concern for the Warriors and their fanbase. Wiseman has yet to feature in a game this season as he continues to nurse a knee injury. He underwent surgery on a torn meniscus over nine months ago and has slowly been working his way back.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr also revealed via NBC Sports that Wiseman hasn't been cleared for contact. Kerr, however, did mention that the former second overall pick is coming along well in his rehab. Wiseman returned to practice in early November but still hasn't been cleared for game activity. Despite that, Kerr indicated that the 20-year-old was in good spirits and that he was “getting ready to play with some contact.”

So, while there's still no official timetable regarding Wiseman's return, Kerr managed to provide some positive outlook. Hopefully, Wiseman will be cleared for contact and get back out on the court before long.
