The Golden State Warriors have signed guard Alex Hamilton to a training camp deal, Keith Smith has reported on Twitter.

Hamilton, who is the last inclusion on the Warriors' 20-man training camp roster, spent the 2016-17 season with Golden State’s G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors. The 23-year-old averaged 11.4 points, 4.5 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 23.4 minutes over 43 games with the Warriors.

Hamilton was also a part of this year’s Warriors summer league team, and averaged 5.8 points 3.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 23.5 minutes over five games (three starts).

Prior to his G-League stint, Hamilton went undrafted in the 2016 draft coming out of Louisiana Tech. He averaged 19.9 points, 6.2 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 1.97 steals in 33 games as a senior in 2015-16, and was named the Conference USA Player of the Year.

Hamilton will join Antonius Cleveland, Michael Gbinije, and Georges Niang in competing for a coveted spot on the Warriors’ roster. However, all four training camp invitees have a remote chance of making the cut, and will likely be funneled back to the G League with Santa Cruz once training camp ends.
