The Golden State Warriors own one of the NBA's worst records this season, but that certainly won't be the case next year.

Due to injuries to Stephen Curry (who recently returned before the 2019-20 campaign was suspended) and Klay Thompson, the Warriors have been, well, not the Warriors.

As a matter of fact, Golden State is in the running for a No. 1 overall pick, which comes on the heels of the Dubs making five straight finals appearances and winning three championships.

But with a healthier Curry, Thompson and Draymond Green entering 2020-21, the Warriors should be back to seriously contending.

For that reason, Golden State is getting ready to add some pieces in free agency (whenever that may be).

More specifically, the Dubs are preparing to target a veteran wing with the tax-payer mid-level exception, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic. Slater names Jae Crowder, Maurice Harkless, Josh Jackson, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Marvin Williams as possibilities.

The tax-payer mid-level exception was initially expected to be around $6 million, but Slater notes that it could end up being lower due to the financial hit the NBA is taking.

Slater also mentioned that a reunion with Glenn Robinson III should not be ruled out. Robinson began the season with the Warriors, but was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers ahead of the deadline last month.

Obviously, Golden State will be in win-now mode going into the summer. Let's remember that this core of Curry, Thompson and Green won a championship without Kevin Durant in 2015, so never count out the Warriors.
