It's not only Golden State Warriors fans who are excited about the return of Klay Thompson. By the looks of it, even Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant can't wait to see the other half of the Splash Bros in action.

Thompson is progressing well in his recovery, even scrimmaging with the Santa Cruz Warriors as he works his way to game shape. After seeing Thompson's workout video with the team's G League affiliate, Morant couldn't help but react to what he had seen.

The Warriors sharpshooter certainly looked ready and more dangerous than ever, prompting the Grizzlies youngster to comment that ā€œthe game needs him.ā€

Ja Morant couldn't have said it any better or simpler.

While it's only natural for the Warriors faithful to miss Klay Thompson, there is no doubt that the NBA needs him as well. The league could always use a great talent like Klay in improving the quality of play and competitiveness of the game

However, his return is certainly good news for the Warriors but bad news for the rest of the NBA. At 18-2, the Dubs are already difficult to handle with Stephen Curry leading the way. Add Thompson and Steve Kerr's men become even more lethal offensively and defensively.

It remains to be seen when Klay will return. Recent reports indicate he could be back around the week of Christmas, but Golden State has remained mum about the specifics of the return-to-play plan for the 31-year-old.
