The Golden State Warriors have been lacking some solid play off their bench, but second-year guard Patrick McCaw has shown improvements. Unfortunately, McCaw was dealt a tough blow to his season when X-rays revealed a fracture in his left wrist, per Chris Haynes of ESPN. McCaw is expected to miss approximately four weeks as he recovers from the injury.

McCaw was originally diagnosed with a wrist sprain suffered against the Phoenix Suns on Monday night as well as a left thumb sprain suffered prior to that. He left the game and did not return, and now further tests have revealed a small fracture in his left wrist. Speaking at shootaround on Wednesday morning, head coach Steve Kerr called McCaw's injury ‘worrisome' and ‘concerning,' and now we know why.

McCaw, who has appeared in 51 of the Warriors' 57 games so far this season, has averaged 3.7 points, 1.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 0.7 steals per game in just 15.6 minutes per game with the defending NBA Champions this season. While his absence is nothing good, it helps that the Warriors will at least have no games over the next week due to the All-Star break, which affords them some more time to let McCaw get back and help them make the playoff push.
