San Francisco, CA – Jordan Poole has put together a tremendous season so far for the Golden State Warriors, but since Klay Thompson's return, he has been moved to a new role. After the Warriors destroyed the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night, Steve Kerr shared why he believes Poole as the team's sixth man is a great fit for the third-year guard.

“If he can attack the way he did tonight and be aggressive while coming off the bench, it gives us more punch with that second unit,” Kerr told ClutchPoints.

The Dubs beat the Mavs 130-92, and Poole had 17 points off of the bench, he was 6-of-10 in 26 minutes of play.

“Then if we can mix him in with Steph and Klay like we did, it gives us another lineup combination, that's a totally different look to what teams have been used to seeing,” Kerr continued. “It could be a great role for him but he has to grow comfortable in it, and tonight was a good sign that he'll be able to do that.”

It doesn't matter if Poole is in the starting lineup or coming off the bench. His production will be needed if the Warriors want to make a postseason run. The shifty young guard has to buy into the role and own it, if he does the Warriors are going to be really tough to beat.

Thursday night the Warriors will face the Minnesota Timberwolves, a team they suffered a terrible defeat to in their last meeting.
