Golden State Warriors superstar point guard Stephen Curry's first daughter, Riley Curry, was born on July 19, 2012.

Steph and Ayesha Curry have three kids: Riley, Ryan and Canon.

But did you know that former Warriors general manager Larry Riley helped Curry pick Riley's name? We sure didn't.

Riley was a guest on 95.7 The Game's “Bonta, Steiny & Guru” show Thursday morning and was asked if it's true that Steph named his daughter after him, via Drew Shiller of NBC Sports Bay Area.

“Steph came into my office one day, and he sat down in front of me and he said, ‘Hey coach, we're getting ready to have a child and it's a girl. We're looking at names. What would you think if we named our baby girl Riley?' I was blown away,” Riley said. “I was just absolutely blown away.

“Those are fond memories of course. And everybody knows she (Riley Curry) captured the world a few years ago when she ended up on TV a few different times. But yeah, there's some substance to that. If I had said, ‘No you can't do that,' I'd have been stupid. He might have done it anyway.”

Riley Curry became a national treasure during the Warriors' 2015 championship run. Stephen Curry would bring her up to the postgame interviews and she would routinely steal the show from her famous dad.

Curry and the Warriors won the 2015 title over the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games, completing Steph and Riley's dream year with a shiny ring.

Riley is now a great older sister to Ryan and Canon Curry, while Steph is a proud father and husband. The Curry family has been spending extra time together since Steph hasn't had to play basketball since March and won't be going to Disney World for the resumption of the season since the Warriors have the worst record in the NBA.
