The Golden State Warriors have been destroyed by the injury bug the past two seasons. Heading into the 2021-22 season, it appears the team is finally coming upon a fully healthy roster. Center James Wiseman had a meniscus injury at the end of last season that ended his rookie year. Monday at media day, he had great news for Warriors fans about his progress.

“My knee is great so far. I am just taking it day by day. The time and the date is unknown, but I can do individual workouts and training camp and stuff like that. So just getting myself ready,” Warriors big man James Wiseman told ClutchPoints.

It's going to take the seven-footer time to get back in the flow of things. With the help of the veterans, he should be able to slide into his role comfortably. Meanwhile, it's still plenty of things the young talent can control about his development at this time.

“I've been doing a lot of shooting and watching a lot of film. I'm doing footwork and stuff like that to keep my lateral movements sharp… Just doing a lot of the intangibles that I can do so, I can get back to 100 percent. I'm just taking it day by day,” the Warriors youngster told the media.

Before Wiseman's season-ending injury, he was averaging 11.5 points on 51.9 percent and 5.8 rebounds. It was good enough to land him on the all-rookie team. In year two, his effectiveness on both sides of the floor needs to improve. If he can return a better overall player, it could pay off big time for the Warriors.
