SAN FRANCISCO — The late, great Kobe Bryant inspired basketball players with his on-court dominance for two decades. Before passing away, he continued to do so off the court with his Mamba Mentality mindset. One of the many players he touched was Golden State Warriors youngster James Wiseman.

“It's a lot of different ones, but I would say Kobe has the most quotes. I watched a lot of interviews that he did, and he's very inspirational to me. You can't go through life trying to impress other people, so make sure you impress yourself and stay uplifted. Stay confident and make sure you don't let anybody tell you what you can and can't do. Because you can do anything that you put your mind to, that's a fact,” Wiseman told ClutchPoints.

In a challenging and frustrating rookie season with the Warriors, Wiseman appeared in 39 games out of 72. He played 21.4 minutes per game and averaged 11.5 points along with 5.8 rebounds.

Bryant's Mamba Mentality could help the young star get on track and direct him to a long successful career. Words are sometimes the biggest motivators in life. Once Wiseman got injured last season, all he could do was accept words of wisdom. There almost isn't a better source to gain guidance from than Kobe Bryant.

The Dubs are looking to jump back into the top tier of NBA teams. The progression of Wiseman is going to be important in their quest back to the top. If he can positively impact both ends of the floor, the Warriors will be a problem, and a postseason run will be a strong possibility.
