The injuries are piling up for the defending champions, the Golden State Warriors. Athletic big man JaVale McGee is now part of the injured list.

As reported by Anthony Slater of The Athletic, McGee is questionable for Game 3 against the San Antonio Spurs:

In two postseason games so far, McGee is averaging 12.5 points per game, 5.5 rebounds, and one block. McGee has been the key component in stopping LaMarcus Aldridge in the post. Though Aldridge has had more success than failure, McGee's length and athleticism give the Spurs center a much more difficult time.

The Warriors lead 2-0. The next two games will be in San Antonio and the Spurs are looking to take advantage of home court. Their chances look slim even if the Warriors are still without Curry.

Now with McGee questionable for Game 3, the Spurs are looking to abuse the paint. If McGee sits out, either ZaZa Pachulia, David West or Kevon Looney is expected to take his spot.

Whether or not McGee plays, rest assured that the frontcourt will be ready once their number is called. This is just the way head coach Steve Kerr rolls. Even if the whole roster is healthy, he will still mix up the starting line up. As reported by Logan Murdock of Mercury News:

“Steve has been clear about that,” Warriors backup center David West said. “It’s a matter of being ready. Knowing what the matchup is going to be. Now with a series, it doesn’t change from night to night. I think Zaza, JaVale, Loon, and (Jordan Bell), those guys have handled it as well as you can.”
