The Golden State Warriors have decided on a starting lineup change and JaVale McGee will replace Kevon Looney at center for Game 2 of the NBA Finals vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers.

McGee was plus-seven in six minutes of action in Game 1, scoring four points with a rebound. Looney played 25 minutes and scored eight points along with four rebounds. The Warriors were minus-10 in those minutes however.

The sample size for McGee is of course small but perhaps the Warriors saw enough in that short time to determine that he would be a much better option to start out the game. McGee had been out of the rotation nearly the entire Western Conference Finals vs. the Rockets due to the switching defense the Warriors utilized against the position-less Rockets.

It was announced earlier today that Klay Thompson would be active tonight while Andre Iguodala is still out. It will be interesting to see if this change by the Warriors pays off.
