JaVale McGee was one of the first free agent names to bolt for the Los Angeles Lakers shortly after they signed LeBron James to a four-year, $154 million deal.

The 7-footer signed a one-year deal shortly after Kentavious Caldwell-Pope agreed to return for $11 million less than he earned last season, followed by Lance Stephenson, who will not get even more opportunities to blow on James' ear.

McGee wouldn't leave without thanking the Golden State Warriors for his two championships, along with the good times he had during the past two seasons; taking to Twitter to give the fan base a proper farewell.

McGee was unlikely to return, especially after it was reported that the Warriors would likely only carry 14 players due to their high luxury tax bill.

The 10-year veteran was the 15th man in the roster for the past two seasons, making a remarkable rise into the rotation, playing an even larger role during the Warriors' playoff run.

As it sits, McGee is the most efficient playoff scorer in Warriors' playoff history, shooting a mind-blowing 70.2 percent from the field over 29 postseason games with the team.
