Santa Cruz Warriors guard Jeremy Lin came out firing like Stephen Curry in their game against the Westchester Knicks on Saturday night. The former NBA veteran drained 7-of-9 shots from beyond the arc en route to a total of 29 points.

Aside from hitting shots, Lin was also finding his teammates on the floor as he racked up nine assists in the game. Jordan Poole benefited from Lin's playmaking as he contributed 26 points, while rookie Nico Mannion finished with 22 points and seven assists of his own. The Warriors ultimately edged the Knicks for a 124-116 victory to nab their first win in the 2021 season for a 1-2 record.

Lin is currently averaging 17.3 points on 58.8% shooting from beyond the arc along with 7.0 assists through the team's first three contests of their campaign.

He last played in the NBA for a Toronto Raptors side that emerged victorious in the 2019 NBA Finals before heading to the Chinese Basketball Association to suit up for the Beijing Ducks. He finished the season in China with 22.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game and flew back to the U.S. in the offseason with hopes of having a stint with the Warriors.

However, the Dubs encountered some complications along the way, which caused them to relegate the 32-year-old point guard to their G League affiliate instead. Jeremy Lin is currently eyeing a comeback in the big leagues, and his stellar performances as of late could help earn him a call-up with the Warriors sooner rather than later.

Golden State could certainly use some help off the bench, especially at the point guard spot. Brad Wanamaker is having a real rough season, shooting just 33.6% from the field and 23.3% on 3-pointers.
