Although they won't necessarily ‘need' him for their championship run, one of the biggest question marks for the Golden State Warriors this season will be the health of their newest All-Star, DeMarcus Cousins. Coming off arguably the worst injury an athlete can get in an Achilles tear, Cousins will have a teammate who can offer some advice on the process. Jonas Jerebko dealt with a devastating Achilles injury that caused him to miss the entire 2010-11 season.

“Definitely going to talk to him when I get the chance. Just to take his time. He's gonna be back with no problems. I haven't had any problems with it. I took my time. It took quite some time, but I did my rehab right and I know he's gonna be back 100 percent.”

If anyone knows how to successfully return from an Achilles injury, it's going to be someone who has gone through the entire rehab process without rushing. Now, Jerebko has become quite a productive player, having played a major role for teams like the Boston Celtics and Utah Jazz in their playoff series.

Achilles injuries can be career-threatening, but Jerebko was able to make a complete recovery. The hope for Cousins is that Jerebko can try and provide some insight as to how he can return to his previous form.

While Cousins may be leaning on Jerebko for some rehab advice, the Warriors are going to be leaning on Jerebko until Cousins can return to the court. Jerebko brings added depth to the frontcourt that Golden State sorely needed. His ability to step out to the perimeter and knock down shots should be a stabilizing force on the second unit.
