Jonathan Kuminga is progressing well in his recovery from knee injury, but don't expect him to play for the Golden State Warriors any time soon.

According to Warriors PR, Kuminga has been “cleared to participate in full-team practices.” However, he will be sidelined in the team's next three games before being re-evaluated next Friday. The Dubs play the Sacramento Kings, Oklahoma City Thunder and Memphis Grizzlies until next Thursday, with a rematch against the Thunder scheduled on Saturday.

With that said, if his evaluation is clean and he is given the green light to play, he could suit up in a week's time.

Jonathan Kuminga, the seventh overall pick of the 2021 NBA Draft, sustained a strained patella tendon in his right knee during a preseason game against the Denver Nuggets earlier this month. He has been sidelined ever since, though the Dubs have been assessing his condition on a weekly basis.

Kuminga is expected to bolster the Warriors' frontcourt, which has been missing last year's second overall pick James Wiseman due to a knee injury as well.

Despite the absences, though, the Warriors have been rolling behind the phenomenal play of Stephen Curry. Golden State is currently 2-0 after beating both the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers in their first two games of the season.

Should Kuminga be able to return soon, his presence down low should only make the Warriors even more difficult to beat.
