Friday, a shorthanded Golden State Warriors team, went to battle against the Chicago Bulls. They were without Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. So, for Stephen Curry and the Dubs to get a win in the Windy City, somebody would have to step up and have a big game.

Multiple players did just that, but rookie Jonathan Kuminga stepped up the most.

“It's special to me. I watched a lot of Michael Jordan highlights. It's actually my first time playing in this gym…It means a lot for me to come here and play, and do good, and help my team win,” the Warriors rookie told ClutchPoints.

The No. 7 pick in the draft, Kuminga scored a career-high 25 points to lead all scorers in this match. He was 10-of-12 from the field in 25 minutes. Kuminga also added 3 blocks and 1 steal. It was a full display of why the Warriors took the teenager so high in the draft.

The 6 foot 8, 225-pound athlete left fans, and media members, who haven't seen him play in person, in awe. Kuminga had multiple dunks where he effortlessly soared through the air for powerful finishes. Jordan Poole told the media he's watching and amazed just like everyone else, and thinks Kuminga can jump even higher than he's shown so far.

The Warriors walked away with a lopsided victory behind Kuminga's performance. The final score was 138-96, and it's the second time the Warriors took down the Bulls this season.

Next, the Warriors will face the Minnesota Timberwolves, as they try to end this four-game road trip 2-2.
