The Chicago Bulls will get another sighting of their $3.5 million mistake, as Golden State Warriors forward Jordan Bell is likely to get another nod to start against the team that drafted him with Draymond Green (right shoulder soreness) and Andre Iguodala (left calf contusion) sitting out tonight, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Head coach Steve Kerr is expecting this matchup serves as an opportunity to develop Bell through the season, no longer a contention of showing out the team that originally drafted him, then sold him to the Warriors.

“I would hope that’s a thing of the past,” said Kerr, according to Connor LeTourneau of The San Francisco Chronicle. “I don’t think he needs to do the money thing again. Let’s just move on.”

Bell has already experienced ups and downs throughout this first half of the season. The Oregon product got the start at center against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but only played 14 minutes after fouling Kevin Love in a three-point attempt and not being able to keep himself from challenging jump-shooters by leaving his feet.

The PAC-12 Defensive Player of the Year still has a lot to pick up through his rookie season and games like this one should serve as yet another opportunity for him to find his footing in the early get go.

Bell was the 38th overall selection of this year's NBA Draft, and much like Patrick McCaw last season, was bought by the Warriors in hopes to develop young, promising talent — since they've lacked a draft pick the last two summers.
