Jordan Poole didn't have the best performance in Game 1 of the 2022 NBA Finals, but lucky for him, his Golden State Warriors veteran teammate Andre Iguodala is there to help.

The 22-year-old Poole has established himself as a key role player for the Dubs in their championship run this 2022. However, he is also in his first NBA Finals appearance, which is why some inconsistencies are expected as he tries to adjust to the pressure and increased attention that the moment brings.

In Game 1, Poole scored just nine points on 2-of-7 shooting from the field (1-of-5 from three) as the Warriors blew a 15-point lead and lost to the Boston Celtics 120-108. Fortunately for the youngster, Iguodala has taken him under his wing and has made sure to guide him so he can bounce back come Game 2.

“Just asking questions and getting his insight,” Poole said of how Iguodala has helped him so far in the NBA Finals, per NBC Sports. “Finding ways to learn from the film and my own team. Just trying to better myself as a player and the whole team.”

Jordan Poole will undoubtedly be crucial for the Warriors in their attempt to win another title. As what Game 1 proved, Stephen Curry cannot carry the offensive load alone to lead the team to victory, so he needs his fellow Splash Bros. to take some attention off him.

It remains to be seen if Poole can finally break out of his slump, but by the looks of it, Andre Iguodala is doing his best to make that happen.
