Former NBA big man Kendrick Perkins says Golden State Warriors superstar small forward Kevin Durant “kinda got in his feelings” when he asked if KD is leaving the Dubs this summer.

Durant and Perkins were teammates on the Oklahoma City Thunder and have a close relationship. Apparently, though, their relationship isn't to the point where Durant is comfortable telling Perkins where he's going to be playing next season.

“I'm real close friends with KD,” Perkins said Tuesday on ESPN's show The Jump, via Drew Schiller of NBC Sports Bay Area. “We talk on the regular but we never talk about basketball — we always talk about personal things.”

“I asked him the other day for the first time. I'm like, ‘Hey KD man, give me a little insight on what's going on. Is you leaving?' He's like, ‘Hey Perk, you know we don't talk about that type of stuff man.' He kinda got in his feelings about it.”

Durant becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer once he declines his 2019-20 player option with the Warriors. All season long, multiple reports have surfaced claiming Durant is going to leave Golden State.

Since joining the Warriors back in the summer of 2016, Durant has won two-straight championships and Finals MVPs. However, for whatever reason, the former MVP hasn't looked that happy this season.

Durant has been linked to signing with the New York Knicks. This summer is going to be fascinating.
