Kendrick Perkins says Kevin Durant never got over the Draymond Green incident from earlier in the 2018-19 season. To recall, Green started calling Durant “a bi**h” during an overtime game between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center.

Green, who questioned Durant about his upcoming free agency, said the Warriors already won without Durant and dared the two-time Finals MVP to leave in the offseason — all while a game was still going on.

Perkins, who is very close friends with Durant, believes KD was hurt that his so-called “brother” was turning against him and calling him a “bi**h.”

“In my opinion, KD never bounced back from the Draymond situation,” Perkins said on ESPN's The Jump. “And I think the Warriors had a chance to sign KD back. But when that situation occurred, and the Warriors tried to clean it up by suspending Draymond…it's hard to overcome that. Those were some harsh words. As a man, there are certain levels you don't cross the line and I think that was the last straw.

“The words that came out…to call him the b word a couple of times…that's the ultimate disrespect.”

Kevin Durant agreed to a four-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets. The Warriors were able to acquire D'Angelo Russell in a sign-and-trade with the Nets.

The words Draymond Green said to Durant were indeed too harsh, especially considering the Warriors were playing in a game against the Clippers.
