The brother of Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant says his comment on Kevin's Instagram post from doesn't mean KD is leaving the Warriors in the summer of 2019.

Kevin’s brother, Tony Durant, commented on Kevin’s Instagram post saying, “Filling the hand up before we get outta here!” Of course, Twitter exploded after seeing Tony's comment and NBA fans began to speculate it meant Kevin was going to sign with another team next offseason. KD can become an unrestricted free agent in 2019 if he declines his 2019-20 player option.

However, Tony clarified his comment once he saw the rumors swirling:

Kevin Durant's summer free agency is going to be a frequent talking point all season. There have been multiple reports claiming that if Durant wins his third straight championship this year with the Warriors, the nine-time All-Star and back-to-back Finals MVP could look for a new challenge elsewhere.

Durant re-signed with the Warriors in July on a one-plus-one deal. The scoring machine says his new contract leaves his financial and team options open. Durant will make $30 million this season and $31.5 million for the option year in 2019 if he picks it up.

If Durant does enter the open market next offseason, the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers are expected to pursue him.
