The Golden State Warriors managed to get back on the right track with an impressive victory versus the upstart Philadelphia 76ers. However, things did not look that way early on after the Sixers dropped 47 points in the first quarter.

Fortunately, the Warriors were able to answer with a 47-point quarter of their own to open up the second half. Although Golden State had the obvious desire to get back in the win column, superstar Kevin Durant was motivated by the fact he did not want to hear any trash talk from Sixers big man Joel Embiid, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Even Joel Embiid himself seems to have acknowledged the fact that he had to stay silent on this one.

Embiid has become notorious for his trash talk both on and off the court. His most recent victim was Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball's father, Lavar, after a career-night in Staples Center.

While it was not the 46-point performance he had the other night, Joel Embiid had yet another strong outing with 21 points and eight rebounds. However, it was not enough to help the Sixers to squeak out a win despite being up by 23 at one point. Furthermore, Embiid is going to have to save whatever trash talk he has in store for the defending champs parked for now.
