The Golden State Warriors have taken a commanding 3-0 series lead over the San Antonio Spurs following their 110-97 victory on Thursday night. However, it almost seemingly ended with yet another injury to one of their star players.

Small forward Kevin Durant had tweaked his ankle near the end of the game. According to ESPN's Chris Haynes, he is adamant that it is nothing serious and that he will be good to go on Sunday:

“I’m good. It’s nothing” when asked about his ankle sprain. He said “it was a quick roll. It didn’t completely turn. I’m fine.” He’s a go for Sunday.

Warriors fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that their best scorer fine. It goes without saying that the absence of point guard Steph Curry is already a major lingering concern in itself. The last thing Golden State would need is for another star player to have to miss some time this postseason.

Durant's game has been clicking on all cylinders this series and Game 3 was no different. He finished with 26 points on an efficient 9-of-17 shooting. The former MVP also tacked on nine rebounds and six assists in the winning effort. The only area of improvements he may need to focus on is the 3-point line after going 1-of-6 from deep.

The Warriors will now be looking to break out the brooms with a chance to sweep the Spurs on Sunday. The extra time off should do them wonders when it comes to patching up ay bumps and bruises before the next round. It will also give them a chance to further analyze the state of Curry's health status moving forward.
