Warriors’ Kevin Durant, Draymond Green may not have spoken since incident

Draymond Green, Kevin Durant

After the heated exchange between Kevin Durant and Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors president of basketball operations Bob Myer believes that the two haven’t’ spoken.

As per Nick Friedell of ESPN, Myers downplayed the said incident and said that he isn’t sure if the two all-stars have spoken or have patched things up. However, he strongly believes that Green and Durant will fix the issue soon:

To recall, what sparked the altercation was the last play of regulation in their overtime loss against the LA Clippers. Right after getting the rebound, Green opted to go straight to the hoop instead of passing it to Durant — who was asking for the ball to close it out. Green eventually turned the ball over and the game went to overtime.

And as they waited for overtime to begin, Green and Durant barked at each other. Green reportedly challenged Durant about his impending free agency and even after the game, the two continued yapping at each other in the locker room.

The Warriors subsequently suspended Green for his action, noting that his behavior was ‘detrimental to the team.’

The question now is how will this affect the Warriors’ squad moving forward. Will this affect Durant’s free agency next summer? Or will the Warriors eventually figure things out, like they usually do?
