As promised, the Golden State Warriors did right by their former superstar Kevin Durant as they honored him with a touching tribute video when they welcomed the Brooklyn Nets at Chase Center on Saturday.

The heartwarming clip, which was shared by the Warriors' social media team online, showcased some of Durant's best highlights and accomplishments during his three-season stay in Oakland. Dubs head coach Steve Kerr was even heard giving KD the ultimate compliment.

“He's the ultimate weapon because there's no defense for Kevin. No matter what everybody does, he can get a good shot,” the multi-titled coach said in the tribute.

After taking major flak for his decision to join the powerhouse Warriors team in the summer of 2016, the one-time league MVP silenced the haters by leading the Warriors to two straight championships in his first two seasons with the team. Kevin Durant was even named Finals MVP on both occasions.

He chose not to re-sign with the Warriors in 2019 and teamed up with Kyrie Irving with the Nets.

KD's much-anticipated return to The Bay was supposed to take place last season but never materialized since he was still recovering from that scary Achilles tear. The 10-time All-Star battled through the ramifications of Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors, which turned out to be his final game in a Dubs jersey.

Durant already defeated his former team in the season opener, leading Brooklyn to a 125-99 rout at Barclays Center. He finished with 22 points, five rebounds, and three assists in their first encounter.
